Entries in Day View Don't Stay Where They're Put When Manually Sorting Them

Hiya, I like to manually sort my tasks and events in day view so they are in the order that I want to tackle everything. I've noticed that the event entries jump around and don't remain where I've dragged them to on Android (after I've closed the app and gone back in again). So each time I open the day view the event that is happening, say, at 2.30pm has moved to a different spot on the page. Thanks!

Think this is all good :)

Thanks - I'm not experiencing this so I just want to double check one thing: I've built it so that certain events cannot be dragged before other events. For example, an event at 10:00am cannot be dragged before an event at 9:00am.
If what you're experiencing is that you sort some items, and it looks as though the new order is accepted, but then later it is no longer in that order, then that is surely a bug.

Hamish Hi Hamish, no it's not that I'm trying to drag an event at a later time to before an earlier time, it's what you mentioned after that.
It's to do with wanting to have tasks inbetween events.
So if I want to complete 2 tasks between an event at 10am and an event at 12pm, and then two tasks after 12pm, I would move the 12pm event to a position after the first two tasks but before the last two, and then it'll have jumped to a different place between tasks when I open the app again. I hope that makes sense!

Female Merle same. I should add I noticed this particularly with events imported from my calendar (Google Calendar).

Thanks both of you!
I've been able to locate a bug that's causing any imported event or event with time to jump around.
For me though, the jumping around happens when I complete a different task, not when I open up the app again.
As you can see in this gif, when I complete 'get milk', the 10:56 Test item moves to where 'get milk' was.
I just wanted to ask you to confirm whether the disordering definitely happens when you open the app again, or if perhaps it's happening when you complete/archive/remove another entry from the view?

Hamish Hi, hmm, I know it definitely happened after leaving the app and coming back to it... However, I don't know for sure whether I had completed another entry first before closing the app. I was playing around with the app a lot at the time! I'm sorry that's not very helpful...
Edited to add: I just tried to recreate the situation so I could take note and it's not happening. As soon as I see it happening again I'll let you know.

Hamish Hi again, ok so it just happened again. I have a list of around 5 tasks set up for tomorrow, followed by one note and one event (added through the app). The event being last on the list following the note.
I then moved the event to before the note (keeping the 5 tasks before it). When I returned to the app the event had moved to second place on the whole list - ie with one task before it and all the other 4 tasks and the note following it.

Female Merle: I've made a big update to how ordering works now. I wasn't able to replicate your particular issue, however this update fixes the issue I was having. My hope is that this has also fixed your issue but since I couldn't replicate, I'm not 100% sure.
Let me know if you notice this behavior again.
I won't complete this ticket just yet, I'll wait a couple of weeks and if I haven't heard from you I'll complete it then.
Concerned Rebe also please keep an eye out! 😊
