Tags disappear after creating them

After creating a new tag, it disappears. I tried this out through a web browser (Safari on Mac) and my iPhone. I input the tag name, press the create button, the tag appears and then it vanishes about one second.
Update: I noticed it is for tags I have previously created and deleted.

For some reason, I am unable to add new tags under the Manage Tags feature in the Settings menu. I touch the add button, and it allows me to type in the name of the new tag, then I touch done, and the new tag shows up in the list for half a second, and then immediately disappears. Then when I go to my task list and try to assign the new tag to a task, the new tag does not appear in the tags list. I have repeated this process over 3 times, and experienced the same result.

After testing it a bit more, I’m finding that it WILL add a new tag and keep it as long as the name of the tag has not been used before. But if I want to re-create a tag that I used to have but deleted a while back, it glitches and presents the bug I described above.

Thanks. Good find. I'm in the process of moving from one backend database to another, and I have to keep the old data until the process is complete.
Unfortunately the behavior you're seeing is built in until I'm able to complete this. For now, just change the name slightly, and soon tags will have the ability to be renamed.
