Autodetect date and tags in title (NLP)

Like in TickTick app, it would be nice if the user could type "Buy milk tomorrow #groceries @John" and the app would recognize the date, the tag and person.

What if there was an automated or AI-driven feature that could clean up and organize words in the title of an action item, automatically converting them into a list? For example, if I want to buy something for my partner, every time I mention their name, it could automatically add it to the list.

Since we're talking about tick tick I was just thinking about posting about how great it would be when typing out a new note/todo to be able to add ~home or ~work or what prefix symbol you choose (in the spirit of todo.txt may I recommend "+") to represent lists and have it be added to the respective list. NLP for dates would also be great.

second about inline tag. for now i type #tag in the title directly just like the time trick Weary Dot did to save clicks (adding actual tag you need to scroll then add tag then select the actual tag whereas a # is just a character)

Right now I'll create a new entry "16:00 Meeting with John", which visually has the same effect as choosing the time from the date picker but saves clicks and doesn't really have a downside unless I want a reminder.

I'd love to see these NLP task entry features - they are the only thing holding me back from a full swap from Todoist Premium!
I'd add priorities to this too, similar to how Todoist does it.
For example, by typing "Buy milk p1 tmrw" it would recognise and remove the last two words, applying a High priority and tomorrows date.
The date is probably the hardest thing here to implement, as 'true' NLP would be needed, but I imagine you could do a quick and 'easy' V1.0 by using the 'p', '#' and '@' symbols as keys.

Yes! We need it, maybe just time and date 😌

Yes please please please. It's been a standard on most Todo apps for years now and honestly a deal breaker

Agreed! I didn't know you could tag people also in TickTick
